Spokane Flute Lessons
I am currently accepting enthusiastic students of all ages and levels.
If you want to improve your flute playing and ace your next audition, performance, or simply enjoy playing the flute more, I can help you!
*Lessons are now in-person outdoors as weather (and smoke) permits. Online lessons are also available.** I teach at my home in the Comstock neighborhood of Spokane. To schedule a FREE TRIAL LESSON, please contact me at [email protected].
My Teaching Philosophy
I aim to help each student become a well-rounded musician with a thorough understanding of musical concepts that will enrich their experience of music long after their lessons. My goal is to empower each student to reach their highest potential as a flutist and musician, and to have fun in the process! My students develop musical problem-solving skills so that they can become their own best teachers. I love to explore all styles of music with my students, but every flute student must build a solid foundation in sound quality, breathing, technique, scales and foundational exercises. I strongly believe that with "patience, time, and intelligent work" (Trevor Wye), anyone can create beautiful music! As your teacher, I am always looking for new resources, ways of presenting material, musical games, and opportunities to keep students inspired and excited to improve.
I'm now accepting pre-band little flutists (under 10)! If you are a future little flutist parent and wondering if your child is ready for lessons, please call or email me.
